Vietnamese language studies presents different challenges to Viet Kieu, than it does to foreigners with no previous exposure to the language. Viet Kieu students often belong to two categories at the same time: the “know nothing” category and the “seem to know everything” category. 

With special materials developed specifically for Viet Kieu students, my teaching principles are based on making the knowledge easily attainable and by finding rules and tips based on simple theory and day-to-day practice.
